1985 – Bought first computer - Sinclair ZX Spectrum+
1987 – Gets a taste for life online when using Prestel and Micronet800 at school
1988 – Aged 13 forms East Anglia Media Retailers with some friends. EAMR sells floppy disks and Commodore Amiga computers to staff and students at Earlham High School in Norwich
1989 – Buys first personal Amiga
1991 – Builds a turtle
1992 – Gets a mobile phone
1993 – Joins CIX and starts emailing people
1994 – Earliest recorded USENET posting by James
1994 – Contributes to Amiga Newsbits and CD32 bits
1995 – Buys first PC
1996 – 4th Millennium Systems Limited formed
1997 – First commercial IT job
2000 – Microsoft certification – MCSE
2004 – Elected Member of the British Computer Society
2005 – Apple and ISEB certification
2007 – Elected Member of the Institute of IT Service Management
2008 – Becomes an MCT
2008 – Joins the Microsoft IT Advisory Council
2009 – Invited to present for Capita at the 2009 BETT show
2009 – Presented about Open Source at the Open Source Schools Unconference
2010 – Presented about Open Source at the 2010 BETT show
2010 – Launched the sch.ools.it website aimed at promoting ICT use in schools
